Gonorrhea is an STI which increases the susceptibility of the infected to suffer from prostate cancer.In early stages, prostate cancer victims can undergo the following treatments: radical prostatectomy- which is the surgical removal of prostate, brachytherapy- which involves surgical insertion of radioactive seeds into the prostate gland, conformal radiotherapy and intensity modulated radiotherapy.The advanced stages of prostate cancer, a combination of radiotherapy and hormone therapy are required to treat the disorder.
